A very elegant Hereke carpet, woven in silk and inserts of metal threads on silk foundation. This beautiful example of Hereke belongs to a group of carpets that come from the atelier of “Ali Oglu”, which closed the production in the 1990ies. The design features derive mainly from classical Persian tradition. The harmonious colors are based on the attractive contrast of red and emerald green shades. The can be translated: “If it were any carpet in paradise (heaven), is would have been this one, this one, this one…”. High class and prestigious silk carpet.
