This Tekke main carpet, Turkmenistan, late 19th ct. came in our hands not only with hooks attached to it's backside, that show that the piece was exposed on a wall, but also with a black and white photography, that opens a glance on the past. The photo from the 1920/30ies displays an elegantly dressed lady on a sofa, showing this Tekke carpet behind her on the wall. Intersting testimony of the story of an antique piece, well preserved until today.
